American Christianity in a Nutshell.

A little dated but unfortunately the church hasn't changed much. Enjoy.

Husbands And Wives Are To Love Even in Difficult Times

One of the big myths as Christians is that: life is to be merry and feel good all of the time just because we are believers however, nothing could be further from the truth. The Christian life is to be a process of growth that at times is very difficult and that includes our marriages. As followers of Christ we must "endure hardship like a good soldier" (2 Tim. 2:3),and the life of matrimony is at times a hardship just like other areas of our life. But if we are to be light to a world of darkness, then we as the church, must carry the model of Christ and His bride and commit our lives to the goal of His glory for all to see. Here is a video that makes a great case for that idea...enjoy!

Hollywood Disqualifies Faith Based Song From Academy Award Nomination

Hollywood hates Christianity and Jesus Christ. In fact more than 2000 years ago Christ stated:"If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you." So it should surprise no one that if a movie has any form of connection with the Christian faith, it is either ostracized, mocked or rejected by the cultural elite. I believe we will soon see the rise of more hate and persecution of authentic believers who take a stand for the gospel.

Proper biblical worship and what it means.

A lot of the worship in the modern church is basically man-centered. That is, it is centered around what people like or what is comfortable or what sounds and feels good to other human beings. Even the preaching is centered around what the parishoners like and what soothes their needs. However as Conrad Mbewe explains, worship is about God and God alone. Worship is to be what is pleasing to Him and it is what He wants and accepts. Listen and watch as he explains biblical worship for the church today.

The Fall of Modern Youth Ministry

The basic premise of getting young people in a ministry is to get a bunch of kids in the church with the lure of stuff to do and music to listen to and you have a "youth ministry". Here is a video that shows how that has failed in the modern church today.

The Power Of Prayer

This video is an example of the power of prayer. Here is one of the most amazing testimonys of how prayer is used to reach the un-saved. When we think of the captivity of sin and the bondage of Satan that many are under, we must recognize that only the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit can give life to lost men and women that are "dead in trespasses and sin". Only the gospel of Jesus Christ bring hope where there is no hope. Watch and enjoy!

Ignorance of What the Church is or it's Purpose

When you are ignorant of what the church is and its purpose, then you will resort to silly gimmicks, slogans and clown tactics to get attention to promote a ministry. Here’s an example of a “church” and some pastor, claiming that something is wrong with the church, and that the church “sucks” or is boring, mean, judgmental, etc. Wow, American Christianity at it again. Enjoy

The American Church: Fat, Rich, Content and now, Niche Marketers

------Just when you think the church can't get any lower, it manages to scrape the bottom just a wee bit more. The church in the United States is so affluent and complacent, that it will even waste time trying to capture "white people" to come through the doors of a church. Ummm... I didn't know that Wall Street demographic tools grew a church, I thought that the bible said: "and the LORD added to the church ...(Acts 2:47).

Just Do It... because you never know who might get saved.

----If you watch this video you will see that witnessing does not have to be complicated it is very simple. And with the power of the Spirit, ANYONE can do it! You don't have to be a trained evangelist with the gift of evangelism or have the "gift of gab" or a "people person". All you have to have is a desire for the lost, who do not know Jesus as their Savior, and go for it!

Censorship alive and well

--Both Facebook and Youtube attempted to censor an evangelical's movie clip, however when they get exposed of censorship they backpedal and allow the trailer of Kirk Cameron's movie trailer to play. Their excuse-"they thought it was spam" and "abusive". When it comes to the things of God the media will go out of it's way to censor and block anything that has to do with the gospel. Yet the amount of filth and vile videos people upload on youtube is insurmountable and they never blink an eye. If it wasn't for followers of Cameron blowing up Youtube and Facebook's headquarters, they would censor it and moved on. for more info click HERE
