the world that we live in is caught up in life in the here and now in this life and thoughts of the future are no where in sight. Regardless where you fit in on the issue of the rapture, Christ is coming back! Believers are nevertheless unconcerned about the lost, holiness and preparation for God's kingdom. Samoan Tsunami Relief Effort

Get the clothing to our church before 12:00 Noon on Wednesday October 7 2009.

We are doing what we can to help our Samoan neighbors in Carson who have relatives in Samoa who were affected by the recent disaster. Relief efforts for Samoan Tsunami are under way and our church is partnering with our neighboring church in Carson, the Samoan Congregational Church, to get clothes and supplies to them as soon as possible. Be a Disciple and Follow Jesus ? But How?

Those are good questions because it has always been challenging in the area of making disciples in our church. This leads me to believe that in order to see the dynamics of this issue is to come to grips with the fact that we need to make extreme changes in how we see and think on what it means to follow Christ. Many people think that joining a church, going to a worship service or committing to a small group or serving in a position at some capacity means that you are a follower of Christ.
