Why the church is like the world

Here we see a "Christian" young man that has compromised for the world and justifies himself as he practices the art of being double minded. Watch as this young lady who is a believer, does what is biblical and corrects him and rebukes him for his errors. She doesn't judge him she just points out where he is wrong, questions him, and states what a believer should and should not be.... Great Job Blair!

This is a great example of where my generation and society as a whole are..and the video really highlights the many who are misinformed about their faith. I commend the organization for these type of interviews. However, I would really enjoy seeing someone interviewed who is better educated on the subject and in opposition.

Your point is well taken Tam and a good job of pointing out the misinformation that many have about their faith. However, I think that an issue that you may be overlooking is the consistency in how you are developing the idea at the end of your comment. Christians are not in opposition to the word of God -unbelievers are. The video is to show how followers of Christ need to be aware of a culture that will lure us into its ideas and values. Our education and enlightment of God and His revelation, make us subject and obedient to His precepts in accordance to the development and growth in our sanctification. As members of the Kingdom of God, we are “in the world but not of it” -so our education (spiritual as well as academic) is of that which enables our discernment: therefore by knowing the personage of God and His word, limits our harm from this culture as believers and at the same time glorifies God with knowing that which is pleasing to Him through His revealed word.

Pastor Paul i believe what Tammi was looking for was a more evenly matched debate on the subject...because the poor man in the video was simply bamboozled and outperformed by that bright young lady. I think alot of us suffer the issue of trying to water down the legendary word of god to appease our own lifestyles and current situations. The fact that this is practiced so widespread leads me to believe that the world can not continue on in this fashion much longer. The problem is I might not approve of the message these musicians send but seeing as how i am a recording engineer, i am just as ample a part of spreading their message as the artist themselves. Does this make me a supporter of wickedness or simply a brotha trying to get a dollar.

ps... also if by someway im exonerated from my current state of wickedness are their any other exceptions to the rule?
